Since 2019, I am located at the Osservatorio Astrofisico di Arcetri (INAF) in Florence, Italy. I work on the scientific preparation of the High-Resolution Multi-Object Spectrograph (HRMOS) which is a facility instrument we propose for the Very Large Telescope (VLT) of the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in Chile.
Other projects I find interesting are about the analysis of stellar spectra to characterize the Galactic stellar populations and have a better picture on the formation and evolution of our Galaxy. My research focuses on optimizing methods to derive precise stellar parameters (effective temperature, surface gravity, metallicity) and chemical abundances. I also work on the preparation of the Ariel space mission from ESA to characterize stars with exoplanets.
